I started practicing Chan because I felt overwhelmed by life with two toddlers and a demanding job. The Kung Fu I learned before was not enough for me to handle my stress.
Chan was extremely challenging. Yet the more demanding it was the greater the reward afterwards. Nowadays, it has become an integral part of my day. It helps me calm down, recharge and have a clearer head.
I still have a lot of issues to work on. But my capacity to help others has increased which shows me I am on the right track.
